Development Application
A sensitive alterations and additions project in North Bondi that looks to capture & enhance the beautiful and quirky nature of the existing building.
The design which adds a new 1st floor to the existing dwelling looks to make considered, smaller gestures throughout rather than statement external forms. The materiality of the existing dwelling is referenced throughout with terracotta screens & tiles, textured render and timber shutters providing a deliberate material palette.
The existing dwelling is situated on a large site with a generous back yard and the design looks to connect with the lush gardens at all moments, providing a constant invitation to draw people outside.
